Sahyadri International Institute of Ayurveda is a full-fledged training centre for the youth in Ayurvedic System of Medicines, Ayurveda nursing, Panchakarma therapy and Spa therapy. The training pro¬gramme is designed in such a way so as to give maximum exposure to the individual capabilities and treatment skills. Training for per¬sonality development, communi-cation skills, language proficiency and hospitality management are essential parts of the training programme. The duration of the course is for 10 months and 30 students are trained every year.
On completion of their studies the students are employed at our various Ayurvedic Institutions and with our franchisees. Males and females trained at the institute have good employment opportu¬nities in India and abroad. As part of its community development ac-tivities, the institute is offering ascholarship programme for stu¬dents from poor families having an aptitude for the above course. In this scholarship programme, those candidates hailing from poor fami¬lies are selected. Sahyadri Institute of Ayurveda also offers short-term courses for professionals like doctors, physiotherapists, spa thera¬pists, pharmacist and nurses.

The micro finance programme implemented by PDS is linked with different insurance products. In association with the New India As¬surance Company and Life Insur¬ance Corp of India, PDS provides three insurance products to its project partners at grass root level.
Traditional home remedies includ¬ing murivenna, Uraguliga, Tha¬lisPathrathiChoornam are promoted among SHG members for primary health care. People are given skill training in prepara¬tion of these home remedies us¬ing locally available materials and herbs.
