Food Security

Ensuring sufficient quantity and quality of food in the villages is a critical factor for creating a climate resilient community. In order to contribute to food security in the villages different programmes are being implemented. Promotion of cultivation of underutilised food crops, cultivation and use of indigenous food crops among tribal communities, introduction of improved varieties of tuber crops, organic vegetable cultivation, seed bank for vegetable promotion, hi tech poultry units, etc are some of them.
