Innovation Driven Enterprise Promotion

PDS has documented more than 1000 grass root innovations in agriculture sector from the ordinary farmers and women in Kerala. Commercially viable innovations are validated and commercialized through participatory technology development (PTD) for the benefits of the innovator and wider society. PDS associates with various agencies like FAO, DST, NABARD, NIF, NSTEDB, etc for promoting innovation driven micro enterprises.  Herbal mosquito repellent, pepper threshing units, micro hatchery units for poultry, agriculture nurseries of new plant varieties, nutmeg processing units, cardamom washing machine and polishing machine, fuel efficient chulah, etc are some of the innovation driven enterprises promoted by PDS in Kerala.
